PRODUCTION ADVISOR – SEED

Due to their strategy for continued growth, our client is looking to add an experienced Production Advisor to their team to cover a territory in west central Manitoba. In this role, you will work with seed producers throughout your territory to maintain a wide range of forage, cover crops, and native seed production. With an existing base of contracted acres, you will maintain these relationships while developing additional seed production acres.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE PRODUCTION ADVISOR

As you work alongside the growers, you will be their agronomic consultant, ensuring they maximize their yield potentials and seed quality.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position will have varying hours depending on the season.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS EXCITING OPPORTUNITY?

Ideal candidates will provide:

  • A highly motivated personality
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A background in agronomy is required
  • Post-secondary education or applicable certification in agriculture is preferred.
  • It would be beneficial if you have experience in forage and crop seed production
  • Basic computer knowledge.

A valid driver’s license is required as there will be regular local travel, plus a valid passport will be required for occasional travel within Canada and the US.

Consideration will be given to those with direct, hands-on, farm experience with forage seeds, legumes, and grass seed and a willingness to be trained further in a career role with our client.
