SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER
Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been engaged to recruit a Senior Product Manager for a client who is adding a second role in their growing marketing department.
The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for marketing 50% of the company product line, creating short and long term marketing plans, including pricing strategy, communication strategy, product specifications and product positions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER
You will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the market for your agriculture products, both seed and crop support.
You will differentiate between the pros and cons of your agriculture products as well as those of your competitors to educate the sales team and clients.
This includes product launches, and product life-cycle analysis.
You will have your own budget for your products and will be responsible for your own bottom line.
AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?
- Sc. Agriculture, or post-secondary education i.e., Agriculture Business Diploma.
- MBA considered an asset.
- Minimum of 8 – 10 years overall experience in the agriculture sector.
- Experience likely comprised of regulatory, sales and marketing experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of sales & marketing experience in the Ag Sector.
- Successful experience expanding sales in retail and wholesale marketplaces.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills working with colleagues.
- Proven self-starter able to take initiative and conduct himself or herself in a professional manner with little direct supervision.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience in translating detailed scientific information into practical decision-ready information for non-technical clients.
