SHOP FOREMAN

Grasslands Recruitment Specialists has been engaged to recruit a Shop Foreman for one of our clients in the agricultural equipment sector.

The open roles are in various rural locations across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

The Shop Foreman will be responsible for supervising a team of ag tech journeyman mechanics & apprentices, assigning work orders, monitoring supplies, ensuring quality of work, maintaining equipment, and building a great team culture.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE SHOP FOREMAN

As the Shop Foreman you will be responsible for supervision of shop personnel and assign Technicians to the appropriate job duties and creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.

You will monitor shop supplies for waste, and purchase consumables and work orders for accuracy, efficiency, and completion.

You will ensure quality control, check equipment history, assist, and advise Technicians and repair and maintain equipment, and other duties as required.

AM I A GOOD FIT FOR THIS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY?

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician Certification, or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Agricultural equipment
  • Experience in a supervisory role is an asset.
  • Ability to work as a team and problem-solve.
  • Leadership, teaching, and time management skills
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license
